Want to know just a little more?
As you already know, I am a photographer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I’ve recently shifted my focus to smaller weddings, elopements and families. After thirteen incredible years of capturing literally hundreds of wedding days both big & small, I’ve fallen in love with the intimate ones. I genuinely love documenting human connections & put my whole heart into creating images that will be cherished for many years to come. I am so in love with this part of the world and I hope to explore every single corner of the Maritimes in my lifetime.
I have spent the last seventeen years with one incredible person who is without a doubt my best friend & as of September 2017 – now also my husband. He is quiet, selfless, kind & my biggest supporter.
We have a wonderful daughter who arrived in December 2020. She is our whole world. When I’m not shooting or creating – you can normally find me at home, my happy place. A few of my favourite things – brunch, enjoying a good game night and mini adventures with my little family.
I find happiness in the simple things, I consider myself more of an old soul, light-hearted & a bit of an extroverted introvert.
I have been told many times that I seem to have a personality which seems to put people at ease almost instantly & that it truly feels like hanging out with an old friend, even if we have just met.
THINGS THAT I LOVE
- NOTEBOOKS I am obsessed with a good pen + paper. I have endless notes scattered around.
- TACOS On a trip to Isla Mujeres, I had the best fish taco of my life. In general, I love Mexican food. So if you're having tacos for dinner on your wedding day by chance..I am most definitely your photographer.
- THE OCEAN It might sound cliché but spending time by the sea is so good for my soul.
- TRAVEL I love to explore so many corners of the world. Top of my list currently: Ireland, Thailand & Italy. If you may be interested in more information on destination weddings - let's chat!

My shooting style
candid, natural, real connection
On a daily basis we are scrolling through squares of picture perfect images – but we need more real! We need the messy, the unplanned, the imperfections. To me, your wedding images or photographs of your family should represent exactly where and who you are right now.
Those photographs that you look back on from generations passed – what are your most favourite images? If I was to guess – it’s the genuine ones. Real life stuff, the everyday. Maybe it’s photographs that have captured a special location that sparks a memory for you. Or an ordinary image that captures someone you love so perfectly, you can almost hear them laugh through the photograph. It’s no secret that those are my favourite too & what I love to focus on most.
Of course, there is always a time for a few posed photographs on your wedding day or in a session. They are also beautiful in their own way & I love to add these in as well to complete the entire collection. I will give you light guidance throughout the day, direct you into better light if needed. But otherwise, I really take a step back and let things happen. My overall approach is heavily moment driven. I want to get to know you, to capture how you connect with your loved ones & to photograph you as authentically as I possibly can.
The simple handholds, the fleeting moments, belly laughs & all the good stuff in between. Those are the photographs that you & your family will always cherish & this is what inspires me. This is what I hope to find in each day I am fortunate enough to be a part of.
